Kate’s experience spans agency, corporate and large-scale B2B media. Specializing in event content and operations, Kate ensures no stone is left unturned when it comes to event execution. She loves travelling and has taken every possible opportunity to work on events in different countries – her favourite being Hong Kong, despite a change of venue two days before the event!

How long have you worked in events/ how did you end up in the industry?

Almost 15 years! I used to love attending sporting events with my dad so, when I had the chance to work on a charity cricket event at college, I was super excited. It motivated me to study event management at university, and the rest is history.

If you had the opportunity to work an event anywhere in the world, where would it be?

Tokyo! I’ve always wanted to visit Japan and Tokyo looks like the epicentre of Japanese culture. I’d love to explore their traditions as well as their constantly changing fashions and technologies for inspiration.

What’s your greatest accomplishment?

I should probably say my daughter but, I think walking 106km around the circumference of the Isle of Wight in 24 hours was actually harder than her birth.

It took two attempts for me to complete a skydive as the first aeroplane crashed!
